Article summary

Whatfix enables you to publish Mirrors to provide your end users access to a simulated environment without granting direct access to the application. This enables safe, realistic user experiences for training, testing, and demonstrations.

Whatfix Mirrors function independently of the Whatfix Digital Adoption Platform (DAP), so end users do not need to install or embed Whatfix to interact with the Mirror. However, if the Mirror contains Guidance content, Whatfix is required.

Use the following steps to publish Workflows and Simulations:

  1. On the Whatfix Mirror Dashboard, go to the Draft stage.

  2. Select the Workflows and Simulations you want to publish.

    Info

Repeat the same steps to move individual Workflows or Simulations across stages.

  3. Click Send to Ready.

    Note:

If you have not configured Single Sign-on (SSO) for Mirror, Whatfix displays the following message when you try to move Mirrors to the Ready stage:

    • If you choose to Move Workflows and Simulations without configuring SSO, the links generated are public and anyone with the link can access its contents.

    • If SSO is enabled for your account, users have to provide their login information and sign in before they can access the Mirror.

  4. Select the Workflows and Simulations in the Ready stage, and then click Publish.

    Note:

You are once again reminded that SSO is not configured. Click Publish to publish your Mirrors.
