Artikel-Zusammenfassung

A session is a collection of actions performed within a specified period of time, in close proximity to one another in the same browser tab. It typically starts when a user accesses the application. And it ends when the user closes the application, switches browser tabs, or remains inactive for a specified time period.

Session analytics enables you to understand how frequently end users engage with your application and how long they remain active in the application. Whatfix provides Session analytics metrics to help you identify patterns in user behavior based on sessions. Some of the Session metrics are Total number of sessions, Average session time, and Total session time

Note:

Whatfix enables you to set a Session activity timeout. If a user is inactive beyond the defined duration, the session ends automatically. Any new activity starts a new session.

Note:

The Session activity timeout setting is applicable only for Product Analytics.

Example:

If you set the timeout as 15 minutes, and a user stops interacting with the application at 10:00 AM, the session automatically ends at 10:15 AM if no further actions are recorded. If the user resumes activity at 10:20 AM, a new session starts at that time.

Use the following steps to set a Session activity timeout:

  1. On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Settings.
    ia_pa_dashboard_settings

  2. Click Analytics.
