Copying a Funnel enables you to create a copy of an existing Funnel to add any new Funnel steps, and change the user filter, completion time, or date. This minimizes time and effort, as you can avoid creating an entirely new Funnel to visualize it with updated parameters.
You can copy Funnels in the following three ways:
- Copy Funnel from the list view
- Copy Funnel from within an existing Funnel
- Save changes made to an existing Funnel to a new Funnel
Use the following steps to copy a Funnel from the list view:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.
- Hover your cursor over the Funnel you want to copy, and then click the Copy icon.
-
The copy of the Funnel gets created as Copy Of [Funnel name]. The copied Funnel gets created at the top of the list.
-
Click the copied Funnel and edit the name.
Use the following steps to copy a Funnel from within an existing Funnel:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.
-
Click the Funnel that you want to copy.
-
At the top, click the Copy icon.
The Copy icon is visible only if you don't make any changes to the existing Funnel.
-
On the Give your insight a name. pop-up, enter the name of the new Funnel.
-
Click Make a copy.
Once the new Funnel is created from the existing Funnel, on the Insight created pop-up, click Go to Insight to view and edit your new Funnel.
While editing an existing Funnel, Whatfix enables you to save the changes to a new Funnel or save them in the existing Funnel.
Use the following steps to save the changes to a new Funnel from an existing Funnel:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.
- Click the Funnel that you want to edit.
For more information on editing a Funnel, see Edit Funnels.
- Make the required changes and then click Save as.
- The Save as button is enabled only if you make any changes to the Funnel.
- If you don't make any changes to the Funnel, only the Copy icon is visible.
-
On the Give your insight a name. pop-up, enter the name of the new Funnel.
-
Click Save as new insight.
-
A new Funnel is created exactly similar to the existing Funnel.
-
On the Insight created pop-up, click Go to Insight to view and edit your new Funnel.
Any changes made to an Insight that's part of Dashboards are reflected in the Dashboards as well. If you don't want the changes made to the Insight to be reflected in all the Dashboards it's part of, save the Insight as a copy without the changes. Use the copied Insight in other Dashboards, and any changes made to this Insight do not impact the original Insight in the other Dashboards.
