Article summary

Note:

Integrating Whatfix and Heap requires backend configuration that only Whatfix performs. Contact support@whatfix.com to set up the integration.

Overview

This integration enables sharing data from a Heap account with a Whatfix account, enabling the targeting of specific content to designated user groups.

Note

To use this integration, purchase Heap Connect because segment or user group exports pull data using Redshift.

Redshift connections are available only for Heap Connect users. For more information, contact your Heap Account Manager.

Use cases

Here are some use cases that are possible using this integration:

  • Display a pop-up about new product capabilities to all power users of the application.
  • Present new updates using Beacons to passive users of the application.
  • Generate more revenue by displaying upsell Pop-ups based on application usage.
  • Present survey forms in a Pop-up to gather feedback from users who engaged with the new feature at least three times.

Heap follows Basic Auth for REST APIs, and Whatfix uses the Token-based authorization method.
