Article Summary

The Summary view in Guidance Analytics gives you a high-level understanding of how the widgets are performing on your application.

Use the following steps to access your Analytics Summary page:

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Guidance analytics.

  2. Click Summary.

3. The Summary page displays the user and Widget engagement data as shown in the following image.

You can choose to view the analytics data across different CLM stages.

By default, only data from the Production stage is shown. If you want to get data from other stages, you need to configure them on your Whatfix Dashboard. For more information, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages.


Widget Metrics Explained

MetricDescription
Dashboard_unique_usersUnique Users Viewed: Total number of unique users who viewed any of the widgets at least once.

The Unique Users Viewed count also includes the number of users who have completed User Actions. For example, if 5 unique users have completed the User Actions, then the Unique Users Viewed count is also 5.

Dashboard_unique_engagedUnique Users Engaged: Total number of unique users who engaged with the widgets through button clicks, search bar, checkbox, etc.

The Unique Users Engaged count also includes the number of users who have completed User Actions. For example, if 5 unique users have completed the User Actions, then the Unique Users Engaged count is also 5. Both Unique Users Viewed and Unique Users Engaged counts are the same only for User Actions.
Dashboard_self_helpQueries Served: The number of times content was clicked and viewed in Self Help.

Total Self Help: Total number of Self Help segments created. This number includes active and inactive Self Help segments.

Note: If the segment is created and deleted before the next Analytics cut-off time then the segment is not counted. See, When is the Analytics data updated every day?
Dashboard_pop_upTimes shown: The number of times a Pop-Up was displayed to end users.

Total Pop-Up: Total number of Pop-ups created. This number includes active and inactive Pop-ups.

Note: If the Pop-up is created and deleted before the next Analytics cut-off time then it is not counted. See, When is the Analytics data updated every day?
Dashboard_task_list(1)Users in training: The number of users to whom Task List was shown, but they have not completed all the tasks in the Task List.

Total Task List: Total number of Task Lists created. This number includes active and inactive Task List segments.

Note: If the segment is created and deleted before the next Analytics cut-off time then the segment is not counted. See, When is the Analytics data updated every day?
Dashboard_flowsTimes played: The number of times a Flow was clicked and played.

Total Flows: Total number of Flows created.

Note: If the Flow is created and deleted before the next Analytics cut-off time then it is not counted. See, When is the Analytics data updated every day?
Dashboard_smart_tipsTimes shown: The number of times a Smart Tip was shown to the users.

Total Smart Tips: Total number of Smart Tip Collections created.

Note: If the Smart Tip Collections are created and deleted before the next Analytics cut-off time then it is not counted. See, When is the Analytics data updated every day?
Dashboard_beaconsUsers: The number of unique users who visited the page where a Beacon was available.

Total Beacons: Total number of Beacon Collections created.

Note: If the Beacon Collections are created and deleted before the next Analytics cut-off time then it is not counted. See, When is the Analytics data updated every day?
Dashboard_interacted Unique users interacted: The number of unique users who interacted with the elements on which User Actions were created.

Total User Actions: Total number of User Actions created.

Note: If the User Actions are created and deleted before the next Analytics cut-off time then it is not counted. See, When is the Analytics data updated every day?

Engagement with Whatfix

The chart displays how many users saw the content. Engagement is defined as every user who has had the opportunity to perform an action on Whatfix.

Hover your cursor over each peak to view additional engagement at a more granular level.

Engagement metrics explained

Self HelpThe number of times content was viewed from Self Help
Task ListThe number of times tasks performed from Task List
Pop-upThe number of Pop-Ups displayed to users
Smart TipThe number of Smart Tips viewed by users
BeaconThe number of users who were shown Beacons
Note
In the case of a Beacon, even if it is shown multiple times to a user, it is counted only once.

Most Popular Flows

At the end of the page, you can see what your popular Flows are and how many views each one received.
