Chart type

Definition

Line chart

A graphical representation of data points connected by lines, used to show trends or patterns over time, such as the number of clicks on a Pop-up CTA.

Area chart

A chart that displays data as a series of data points connected by lines and filled with colors. It is used to show the changes in the magnitude of data in different categories over time, such as showing the total number of impressions of different widgets over a year.

Bar - Horizontal

A chart that uses horizontal bars to represent data used to compare different categories of data, such as showing which content has seen the most interaction.

Bar - Vertical

A chart that uses vertical bars to represent data, used to compare different categories of data, such as showing which content has seen the most interaction.

Pie chart

A pie chart is a circle chart that displays data as a circle divided into sectors or slices. These slices correspond to different categories or data points. The slices show the proportion of different categories in relation to the whole dataset, such as showing the percentage of what countries different users come from.

Donut chart

A donut chart is a type of pie chart where the center is removed to create a hollow or donut look. Data is distributed into segments, where each segment of the donut represents a portion of the whole, and the entire donut itself represents the total sum of all the data.

The hole in the middle displays metrics, such as Total events or Unique users, based on the selection for all segments. If you want to view the metrics for a particular segment, click the segment to expand it. A donut chart can be used to visualize the percentage of users who performed any Whatfix event.

Metrics

A visual representation of key performance indicators (KPIs) or metrics, used to track performance or progress towards a specific goal, such as displaying the conversion rate on a dashboard.

Table

A visual representation of data in rows and columns, used to display structured data in a tabular format, such as a list of events and the engagement with selected metrics and breakdowns.
