Verify User Actions using Inspect

After you create User Actions, you have to add them to Insights to check if they're working correctly. With User Action Verification, you can validate User Actions contextually on the application. It helps you identify if there any issues with the User Actions and fix them in real time.

To verify User Actions, ensure that the domain where you've created User Actions is added to the Preview mode. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.

Use the following steps to verify User Actions:

Go to the application where you've already created User Actions, and then launch Whatfix Studio.
Scroll down to the bottom and click User Action.
Click Show user actions on this page.

The page gets refreshed automatically and the Preview Mode is switched on.
The Highlight user actions on the page toggle is also automatically enabled.

Show the Available accordion to view the User Actions captured on the page.

You can preview and edit the User Actions.
You can also search for the User Actions present on the page and check their status.

If any User Actions are hidden or unavailable, show the Hidden or unavailable accordion to identify them.
Hidden or unavailable means that the UI element where the User Action is created, is hidden from view, for example, an option inside a dropdown or the element is not detected on the page. For more information, see User Action Verification statuses.
You can click the Preview icon to preview where the User Action is created on the application.
You can also edit the User Action to reselect the element, change the Display Rules, and more, and ensure that the User Action is correctly configured.

Click Verify User Action to check if the User Action is getting triggered.

The Verify User Action shows the following data:
- The name of the User Action
- The date and time during which the User Action is triggered
- The User Action Completion Rule
The User Actions get completed based on the set Completion Rules.

Click Finish Verifying.

If you want to create new User Actions after the verification, click + Create user action.

When you click + Create user action, the verification experience ends. If you want to verify User Actions again, launch Whatfix Studio and then click User Action.
