Article summary

When searching for content in Self Help, the results depend on the Tags (Auto Tags and Role Tags) associated with it. The following two scenarios occur when searching for content in Self Help:

  • If all conditions for the Tags are met on a certain page, the content appears in Self Help. This counts as a successful search.
  • If the content exists in Self Help but does not appear during the search, the relevant Tags conditions are not evaluated. This counts as an unsuccessful search.

For example, if a Flow is configured with an 'Editor' Role Tag, it appears in Self Help only when a user with the editor role searches for it. If a user with a translator role searches for it, this leads to an unsuccessful search.

However, analytics results display at a consolidated level across users. Because the same term can yield different results due to these permissions, instances may arise where both successful and unsuccessful search results appear for the same keywords in Analytics.

Here is an example of the same text appearing in both Unsuccessful and Successful Search.
