Trend Insights are built using three main modules:
- Events
- Filter
- Breakdown
- User Filter
- User Breakdown
Events Module
Events are the core components of any Trend Chart. Events are triggered when your end users perform any action on the Whatfix content or Widgets in the application.
There are two types of Events:
- Default Events
- Custom Events
Default Events: Includes all the events that are triggered when end users perform any action on the Whatfix content or Widgets in the application.
To understand the list of all available Whatfix related events, see List of Whatfix-related Events.
Custom Events: Includes all the events that are created by you, like User Actions, and other events captured using Whatfix API.
User Filter
Using the User Filter module, you can limit the scope of the events based on different criteria. For example, for the Flow start event, refine the results to show data only for those who fired it from the Chrome browser or from a specific location.
For more information on User Filters, see User Filters and User Breakdown in Insights.
User Breakdown
Using the User Breakdown module, you can manipulate the chart to display data based on the various properties. For example, for Flow completed event with User filter set as Chrome browser, configuring the Breakdown as City, displays the chart based on the location from where the Flow was completed by users using Chrome browser.
For more information on User Breakdown, see User Filters and User Breakdown in Insights.
