Q2 R2 2026 Release
Last updated: July 24, 2026

The following are the updates for DAP on Web:

Diagnostics: Fix CSS selector issues, without the consoleGA

What is new?

Diagnostics can now automatically generate and add reliable CSS selectors directly within Studio, helping you fix element latching issues without using developer tools.

Why does it matter to me?

When Smart Tips fail to latch correctly, guidance can appear on the wrong element, impacting the user experience. Previously, fixing this required using browser developer tools or contacting support, interrupting your workflow.

With this enhancement, Diagnostics lets you identify and fix selector issues directly in Studio by generating a stable CSS selector. For example, if a Smart Tip in Salesforce attaches to the wrong field due to dynamic attributes, you can quickly reselect the correct element, and Whatfix automatically applies a reliable selector—without manual troubleshooting.

How do I do this?

This capability is available for everyone without any additional configuration. For more information, see Automated CSS selector addition during content creation in Studio.

Custom Roles and PermissionsGA

What is new?

Account Managers can now create custom roles by combining specific permissions instead of relying on the four default roles (Account Manager, Content Manager, Editor, and Translator). Custom roles can be assigned to active teammates directly from the Teammates page.

Why does it matter to me?

Previously, the default roles often provided more or less access than required, and creating custom roles required support requests and engineering involvement.

This capability provides the following benefits:

  • Reduce over provisioning and improve access control.

  • Create and assign roles with only the permissions teammates require.

How do I do this?

Custom Roles and Permissions are available on the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard for only Premium customers. To enable this feature, contact support@whatfix.com. For more information, see Use Custom Roles on Whatfix dashboard.

Introducing System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM)GA

What is new?

System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) enables automatic user provisioning and lifecycle management from your Identity Provider (IdP). You can also map IdP user attributes to default or custom Whatfix roles, so users are assigned the appropriate role during provisioning.

Why does it matter to me?

Previously, Account Managers had to manually update user roles after provisioning because SCIM assigned all users the default Translator role.

With this enhancement, you can:

  • Automate user onboarding and off boarding.

  • Assign default or custom roles during provisioning.

  • Eliminate manual role assignment after provisioning.

  • Strengthen security by managing user access through your identity provider.

How do I do this?

SCIM is available for everyone on the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard and do not require additional configuration. For more information, see Understand System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM).

Content Ownership TransferGA

What is new?

Account Managers can now transfer content and widget ownership between active teammates without deleting the current teammates account or disrupting live production setups. Ownership can be transferred from the Whatfix Guidance dashboard on the Teammates page.

Why does it matter to me?

Previously, content ownership could only be transferred by deleting a user's account, making it difficult to reassign content when users changed teams or responsibilities.

With this enhancement, you can:

  • Transfer ownership without deleting user accounts.

  • Reassign individual content items or transfer all eligible content.

  • Maintain content continuity during ownership changes.

How do I do this?

Content Ownership Transfer is available on the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard and do not require additional configuration. For more information, see Understand Teammates.
