Introduction
Add User List as a Visibility Rule to target Whatfix widgets for specific users. Create a User list to group users based on their User IDs. Add a User List as a Visibility Rule to control when to display or hide Whatfix widgets for selected users.
Use cases
Display a Tasklist to all users except test users.
Display an onboarding Pop-up to all new hires.
Use the following steps to add a User List as a Visibility Rule:
The following example shows how you can add a User List as a Visibility Rule in Pop-ups. The process is similar for other widgets. For more information, see Set Who can see your widget.
Info:
Before adding a User List in Visibility Rules, ensure that you create the User List. For more information, see Create a User list.
In the Visibility rules section of your Pop-up, click Who does the pop up appear to?

Select User Lists using the How would you like to identify the user? dropdown.

Select the condition using the following information:
Condition
Description
Belong to
Users who are part of the User List.
Does not belong to
Users who are not part of the User List.

For example, show a Pop-up to all members of the Finance department. Set the condition to show the widget to end users who belong to the User List.Select the required User List, and then click Add.

Configure additional Visibility Rules, and then click Save.

Click Save to save the Pop-up.

Note:
After adding the User List to Visibility Rules, there is no initial sync time. You can preview the widget immediately and then publish it. End users see the widget immediately based on the conditions you set.
Whatfix displays the Pop-up to the specific users mentioned in the User list.
Note:
If you replace a User List, the changes to the User List you add as a Visibility Rule are reflected immediately.
