Last updated: October 19, 2026

Mention @ Content, Insights, and Dashboards in Ask Whatfix AIGA

What is new?

Ask Whatfix AI now supports @ mentions to search for and select existing Whatfix Content, Insights, and Dashboards directly in your questions. Previously, you could mention only events.

Use @ to ask questions about or get a summary of the selected Content, Insight, or Dashboard. For a Dashboard, Ask AI analyzes the data from all Insights in the Dashboard to answer your question.

Why does it matter to me?

Mentioning @ removes guesswork, so you can ask more specific questions and get more accurate answers using existing Whatfix data and analysis.

How do I do this?

This capability is available to all users who have enabled Ask Whatfix AI without additional configuration. For more information, see Use Ask Whatfix AI.

Copy and Export Ask Whatfix AI Responses GA

What is new?

Ask Whatfix AI responses now support copy response and export as PDF. You can:

  • Copy an individual response, including its text and the supporting Insight image, and paste it into any text field such as google docs.

  • Export the entire chat thread as a PDF. The PDF retains your questions and the Ask Whatfix AI responses, so readers see the full context.

Why does it matter to me?

You can now easily share Ask Whatfix AI responses with your team, such as in presentations. This reduces manual effort and helps more users benefit from Ask Whatfix AI.

How do I do this?

This capability is available to all users who have enabled Ask Whatfix AI without additional configuration. For more information, see Introduction to Ask Whatfix AI and Use Ask Whatfix AI.

Use Ask Whatfix AI as a Copilot in Insights and DashboardsGA

What is new?

Ask AI is now available as a copilot within Insights and Dashboards. You can:

  • Create Insights: Describe the Insight you want to analyze. Ask Whatfix AI selects the events and applies the filters.

  • Edit Insights: Make multiple changes in a single prompt, such as adding a breakdown, changing the date range, and changing the chart type.

  • Analyze Insights and Dashboards: Summarize an existing Insight or Dashboard, get key takeaways, and ask follow-up questions.

Why does it matter to me?

Analyze existing Insights and Dashboards without leaving the page, and create or edit Insights without setting up each event and filter manually.

How do I do this?

This capability is available to all users who have enabled Ask Whatfix AI without additional configuration. For more information, see Introduction to Ask Whatfix AI and Use Ask Whatfix AI.

View Session Replays directly from Trend InsightsGA

What is new?

Session Replay is now available in Trend Insights. Click any point on a chart to watch the related end-user session to understand the trends in your data.

Why does it matter to me?

Use session replays to:

  • Find out what end users did in the application.

  • Understand why an event spiked or dropped on a specific day.

  • Identify points of confusion, hesitation, or repeated clicks in a workflow.

How do I do this?

This capability is available to all users who have enabled Session Replay without additional configuration. For more information, see Visualize Session Replay in Trend Insights.

New Tracking events experienceBeta

What is new?

The redesigned Tracking events experience gives you more accurate tracking and visibility into how each element is tracked. When you select an element, choose how to track it:

  • Select Default tracking to track the element with the default selector. Default tracking includes past click data for the element, so you can analyze clicks that happened before you saved the event.

  • Select Advanced tracking to define custom tracking rules using Element Precision Rules and Advanced Visibility Rules. Advanced tracking doesn’t include historical data.

The new experience also includes the following changes:

  • Less dependency on Smart Detect: Autocapture identifies elements accurately even when Smart Detect isn't fully configured.

  • Clear identification signal: Whatfix displays a message when it can’t identify an element.

  • Selector visibility: View the selector Whatfix uses to identify an element. You can change the selector using Element Precision Rules.

  • Updated Track events section: View events in the Visible and Not visible sections, with click count for each event.

Why does it matter to me?

The new Tracking experience tracks clicks more accurately, shows how each element is tracked, and reduces missed events.

How do I do this?

New Tracking events experience. This capability is available for only premium customers. For more information, see Create an Event.
