Data after excluding test users:
Steps to exclude test users
Use the following steps to exclude test User IDs from Insights data:
The following steps show how to exclude test User IDs from Trend Insights. The process is similar for Funnel Insights and User Journeys.
- Create a User list with all the test User IDs.
The User IDs in the CSV file must match the User IDs configured by Whatfix to identify the user in the application. For example, if you’re using email IDs to uniquely identify test users, the same email IDs must be included in the CSV file.
In Trend Insights, click Choose metric.
Under Event metrics, select Total events or Unique users as required.
Click Add event and then add the required Guidance events, App events, or Event groups.
In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select Cohort.
Select the condition as Does not equal to from the dropdown.
Select the Cohort that you've created to filter test users, and then click Apply.
Click Add user breakdown and select the criteria to breakdown the data.
Scroll down to view the generated data chart.
The data chart is generated without the data for the excluded filter. It is excluded from the User breakdown as well.
- Click Save.
