Enabling Flow Tooltip Visibility Check for iFrame ensures that any Flow tooltip associated with a specific element disappears automatically when that element is no longer visible on the user's screen.
Note:
This configuration is applicable only when the selected element is within an iFrame.
What is an iFrame?
An iFrame, or Inline Frame, is an HTML element that allows embedding another HTML document within the current one. This creates a nested browsing context, loading content independently of the main page.
Consider you have a Flow that directs you to click a button located within an iframe. As long as this button is visible, a tooltip appears next to it, offering necessary information. However, if you scroll the iframe content or perform an action that hides the button (like opening a dropdown or navigating within the iframe), the button may no longer be visible on the screen.
Without the Flow Tooltip Visibility Check for iFrames configuration enabled, the tooltip might remain visible even after the button is hidden, detaching it from its context and potentially confusing users.
Use the following steps to hide Flow tooltip when selected element is out of view:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Advanced customisation.
-
Click Technical configuration.
-
Click Add preferences.
5. Click Flows.
6. Select the Flow Tooltip Visibility Check for iFrames checkbox.
7. Click Add.
8. In the Flow Tooltip Visibility Check for iFrame field, enter the desired value.
9. Click Save.
