Overview
Whatfix enables you to add audios to a Flow step where you need to provide detailed explanations for the selected element or the action to be performed on the element.
Pre requisite
Any audio clip that you want to insert in a Flow step has to be first hosted on an online file hosting website like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
The audio file formats supported by Whatfix are .mp3, .AAC, .m4a, and .ogg.
Insert an audio clip in a Flow Step
Use the following steps to insert an audio clip in a Flow step:
Log in to the application where you want to create content, and then launch the Whatfix Studio.
Click Flow.
Enter the name of the Flow as you want it displayed to the users.
Click + Add Step.
Click the desired element on the page that the user needs to select.
Review or edit the auto generated action text on the step.
Click the Description section of the tooltip and select the Insert Audio icon from the rich text editor.
Copy the audio URL from the online file sharing website and paste the URL.
To play the audio automatically when the Flow Tooltip appears on the element, click the Auto Play Audio checkbox.
When the Auto Play Audio option is disabled, the audio gets played only when the end user clicks the play button on the Flow tooltip.
- Click Insert.
Once the audio is inserted, you can click it to see the edit options.
The following are the Edit options you can choose from:
- Replace: In case you added the wrong audio, you can replace it using this option.
- Remove: Enables you to remove the audio.
- To finish creating the step, click Save Step, and then continue creating the Flow.
