Technical error in Studio due to which Restart Studio button keeps appearing

Issue:

You try to edit a Whatfix Flow or Widget using the Launch live edit option, but every time Studio opens, the Restart Studio button appears and a technical error occurs.

Cause:

When webpages load along with Studio, a large amount of data associated with the respective content/widgets present on that page is pulled by Whatfix from its servers. This data can take some time to load, and thus, may occasionally result in Studio's UI breaking.

Solution:

Use one of the following methods to fix this issue:

  • Do a hard refresh of the webpage where Studio is breaking
  • After you click on Launch live edit and are redirected to the respective website, wait 10-15 seconds after Studio loads to interact with the UI
