Whatfix Beacons help capture end users' attention and introduce feature updates within your application. Select from a variety of Beacon styles that fit your specific requirements. For example, use a Radial Beacon to introduce a new feature or use a Ripple Beacon to grab your end users' attention for feature updates.
The following table lists the 5 types of commonly used Beacon styles.
Beacon style name | Beacon appearance |
---|---|
Radial | ![]() |
Custom | ![]() |
Ripple | ![]() |
Speckle | ![]() |
Asterisk | ![]() |
Use cases
Use Whatfix Beacons to implement the following use cases:
- Introduce new features to your end users.
- Inform your end users about change management.
- Remind your end users about the approaching expiry date of a feature or application.
Customize the Beacon and its accompanying text to align with the rest of your application.
For example, all Beacons in your account can adopt the Radial style, but you can customize one Beacon to adopt the Custom style to emphasize a new update.
For more information on customizing Beacons, see Customize a Beacon.
