Whatfix Beacons help capture end users' attention and introduce feature updates within your application. Select different Beacon styles that fit your specific requirements. For example, use a Radial Beacon to introduce a new feature or use a Ripple Beacon to grab your end users' attention for feature updates.
The following table lists the 5 types of commonly used Beacon styles.
Beacon style name | Beacon appearance |
---|---|
Radial | ![]() |
Custom | ![]() |
Ripple | ![]() |
Speckle | ![]() |
Asterisk | ![]() |
Use cases
Use Whatfix Beacons to implement the following use cases:
- Introduce new features to your end users, by drawing their attention to a specific tab or section on the website.
- Inform your end users about change management.
- Remind your end users about the approaching expiry date of a feature or application that they use regularly.
- Use a Beacon to highlight an action for a conditional element on your application. For instance, show a Beacon with a specific action when a specific button appears after the users submit a form.
Customize the Beacon and its accompanying text to align with the rest of your application.
For example, all Beacons in your account can adopt the Radial style, but you can customize one Beacon to adopt the Custom style to emphasize a new update.
