Introduction
The Summary Dashboard of new Guidance analytics provides a high-level understanding of how content and widgets perform on your application. The Dashboard contains various Insights such as Unique users viewed, Unique users engaged, and more, to help you understand end-user engagement.
The new Guidance Analytics Dashboard experience for Analytics Summary enables the following functionalities:
View end-user engagement data for Whatfix Inhalt and widgets in easy-to-understand visual formats.
Understand the descriptions of the metrics and the events used to calculate them.
Add Filters, such as city, country, and more, to refine the data on the Dashboard.
Filter data based on daily, weekly, monthly, or custom time frames.
Add Event Filters to drill down on the event. For example, determine the number of users who started a Flow called Onboarding from a Self Help segment called Default segment.
Add User Filters to filter users who engaged with the content. For example, determine the number of users who viewed Pop-ups using the Chrome browser.
View top metrics, such as the date with the highest user engagement or daily average of engagement, and percentage changes in end-user engagement.
Change the chart type of the Insight, wherever applicable.
Export the Dashboard.
Access Analytics Summary
Use the following steps to access your Analytics Summary page:
- On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Guidance analytics.
- Click Summary.
Hover your cursor over the i icon to view the description of the Insight. For example, the description of Unique users engaged is the Total number of unique users who have interacted with Whatfix content in a given time period.
Click the Menu icon, and then click Filter to view the User or Event Filter added to the Insight.
Click Event Filters and then click the metric.
Select any Event Filter, such as Segment Name, Content Title, and more. Event Filters help you drill down on the event. For example, analyze the number of users who engaged with a Pop-up called AVR-AI Pop-up. For more information, see Filter events using Event Filters and breakdown.
Info:
Some metrics may be calculated using more than one event. To view all the events that make up the metric, click the metric, and then click Event Type.
Click User Filters to filter users based on city, country, device, and more. For example, analyze the number of users who engaged with Pop-ups from the United States. For more information on User Filters, see Filter Insights data using User Filters and User Breakdown.
Click the Menu icon, and then click Chart type to change the chart type from the existing chart to your preferred chart type, wherever the option is available. For more information, see Understand Trend Insights.
Note:
Whatfix also enables you to perform the following actions:
Change the time frame of the data on the Dashboard.
Search for data in tables.
Download the chart. Click the Menu icon, and then click Download chart. Whatfix enables you to download table data also.
Filter the data on the Dashboard by browser, city, country, and more. This filter applies to all Insights within the Dashboard. The badge indicates the number of filters added to the Dashboard. If there are multiple tabs in the Dashboard, the filters are tab-specific.
Export the Dashboard as a PDF to your local drive.
Whatfix enables you to export the Insights in the Dashboard using an API. This requires the Insight ID, which is available on the corresponding Insight on the Dashboard. Click the Menu icon, and then click Copy insight ID. Contact support@whatfix.com to export the Insight using an API.
All the changes you make to the Dashboard, such as adding User or Event Filters, changing the time frame, chart type, and more, are not saved to the Dashboard. The Dashboard resets to its default state the next time it is accessed. However, Whatfix enables you to export the Dashboard with the filters added.
Some metrics display percentage changes (increase or decrease) in end-user engagement. If there is no change in the engagement or metric data, it shows as NA (Not applicable).
