Whatfix enables you to create a Custom Analytics Dashboard to track various Insights related to QuickRead. With this Dashboard, you can get an understanding of how many end users are using QuickRead and how helpful QuickRead is to your end users.
Use the following information to create the QuickRead Analytics Dashboard:
Insights used in the Dashboard
The following are the Insights used in this Dashboard:
Insight | Explanation | How it looks |
---|---|---|
Total Searches | The total number of searches made in the Self Help widget. | |
Queries Served | The total number of responses delivered by QuickRead. | |
Searches by Unique Users | The number of unique users who have used the search on Self Help. | |
QuickRead Engaged by Unique Users | The number of unique users who interacted with QuickRead, that is, clicked a link on QuickRead or given feedback for a QuickRead response. | |
Search Results | A pie chart comparing the percentage of search queries that have returned results versus queries that have not returned any results in Self Help. | |
QuickRead Feedback | A bar chart comparing the number of positive feedback and the number of negative feedback for all QuickRead responses. |
Set up the QuickRead Analytics Dashboard
To set up the Dashboard, do the following:
Create Insights
Click to view the events required to create the Insights
The following QuickRead events are used to create Insights for QuickRead:
- QuickRead response: The response provided by QuickRead for a search query.
- QuickRead Links Consumed: The links provided by a QuickRead response.
- QuickRead Feedback: The feedback provided for a QuickRead response by the end user.
The following Self Help event is used to create Insights for QuickRead:
Self Help Search: Triggered when an end user engages with the Self Help search bar.
If an event has never been triggered by an end user, that event does not appear while adding an event to an Insight.
For example, if no end user has provided feedback for a QuickRead response, the QuickRead Feedback event does not appear.
Use the following steps to create a new Trend Insight:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.
Once you complete step 4, expand the following accordions to know how to create the particular Insight:
Once you have created and saved the Insight, click Back to return to the Insights page.
Follow step 3 onwards to create another Insight.

Click the Edit icon and name your insight Total Searches.

In the Data Setup section, under Events, click Add Event.

Under Default Events, search for the Self Help Search Event and select it.

In the chart section, set the Chart Type to Metrics.

Set the Metric to Total Events.

To save the Insight, click Save.

Click the Edit icon and name your insight Queries Served.

In the Data Setup section, under Events, click Add Event.

Under Default Events, search for the QuickRead response Event and select it.

In the chart section, set the Chart Type to Metrics.

Set the Metric to Total Events.

To save the Insight, click Save.

Click the Edit icon and name your insight Searches by Unique Users.

In the Data Setup section, under Events, click Add Event.

Under Default Events, search for the Self Help Search event and select it.

In the chart section, set the Chart Type to Metrics.

Set the Metric to Unique Users.

To save the Insight, click Save.

Click the Edit icon and name your insight QuickRead Engaged by Unique Users.

In the Data Setup section, under Events, click Add event.

Under Default Events, choose Any Whatfix Events .

Click Filter on the event.

Click Event Type.
-
Search for quickread and select QuickRead Feedback and QuickRead Links Consumed.

Click Apply.

In the chart section, set the Chart Type to Metrics.

Set the Metric to Unique Users.

To save the Insight, click Save.

Click the Edit icon and name your insight Search Results.

In the Data Setup section, under Events, click Add event.

Under Default Events, search for the Self Help Search Event and select it.

Click Breakdown.
-
Select Search Results.

In the chart section, set the Chart Type to Pie Chart.

Set the Metric to Total Events.

To save the Insight, click Save.

Click the Edit icon and name your insight QuickRead Feedback.

In the Data Setup section, under Events, click Add event.

Under Default Events, search for the QuickRead Feedback Event and select it.

Click Breakdown.

Select Feedback Option.

In the chart section, set the Chart Type to Bar - Vertical.

Set the Metric to Total Events.

To save the Insight, click Save.
Create the QuickRead Analytics Dashboard
To create the Custom Dashboard for QuickRead, refer to Create Custom Dashboards in Analytics
Add the six Insights created to the Custom Dashboard.
