Uninstall DAP on OS

You may choose to uninstall an older version of DAP on OS and then reinstall the latest version. For more information about installing the DAP on OS, see Choose an installation Method for DAP on OS.
For Windows
The following steps need to be performed from an Admin account. For more information, contact your IT Admin or support@whatfix.com.
Use the following steps to uninstall the distributor file of the DAP on OS app:
- In the Windows search bar, type cmd, and then click Run as administrator.
The Command Prompt opens in Admin mode.

Run the following command to uninstall the Whatfix DAP on OS app:
msiexec.exe /x WhatfixPlayerInstallerSLI.msi

In the popup that appears, click Yes.
To uninstall the Hub silently without the Windows Installer pop-up, use the following command:
msiexec.exe /x WhatfixPlayerInstallerSLI.msi /q
Uninstall Whatfix DAP on OS using the following methods:
Command Line Interface method
To uninstall Whatfix DAP on OS using the Command Prompt, follow the given steps:

Open Windows PowerShell and type cd to change the current directory to the downloaded folder.

Run the following command to uninstall the Whatfix DAP on OS app:
msiexec.exe /x WhatfixPlayerInstaller.msi

In the popup that appears, click Yes.
To uninstall the DAP on OS app silently, use the following command:
msiexec.exe /x WhatfixPlayerInstaller.msi /q
Using the Control Panel
Use the following steps to uninstall the Whatfix DAP on OSS app:

Open the Control Panel and select Programs.

Under Programs and Features, click Uninstall a program.

Double click Whatfix Hub.

In the popup that appears, click Yes.
In case DAP on OS is installed using the mass deployment method, you must first uninstall the DAP on OS app from the Program Files directory, and then uninstall it for each end-user's localappdata as well. If the DAP on OS app isn't uninstalled on a system level before removing it from users' localappdata, a reinstallation occurs every time the user signs into their respective account.
- In the Windows search bar, type cmd, and then click Run as administrator.

- Run the following command to uninstall the Whatfix DAP on OS app:
msiexec.exe /x WhatfixPlayerMassDeployment.msi
- In the popup that appears, click Yes.
To uninstall the DAP on OS app silently, use the following command:
msiexec.exe /x WhatfixPlayerInstaller.msi /q
For MacOS
- Open Terminal and then run the following command to change the directory to the Whatfix Hub folder.
cd WhatfixHub/
- Run the following command to uninstall DAP on OS:
./whatfixhub_uninstaller.sh
The Whatfix Hub app no longer appears on your system or desktop.
