DAP on OS collects users' IP addresses and analytics calls but only fetches geographical details such as country and city from the IP address. All other data, including the IP address, is discarded. Whatfix can access Active Directory (AD) Integration to capture location information if it's available for an account.
From the analytics perspective, if user segmentation is configured based on customer inputs, DAP on OS can track Windows login usernames of users. If it is not configured, DAP on OS fails to capture this data.
DAP on OS stores analytics data the same way as Whatfix Web. If the customer opts for user identification then it is stored in an encrypted format and it is decrypted on the dashboard so the content creator can access it.
