Whatfix enables you to control where DAP Guidance appears based on your training requirements. This provides the flexibility to configure visibility rules based on where you want the guidance to appear, whether on the base application only, Mirror only, or both.
For example, your organization may use the same application for both day-to-day operations and new hire training. In this case, you can configure the Guidance to appear only during training and not during regular use.
Note:
By default, all DAP Guidance you create for the base application also appears on Mirror Workflows that include Mirror Screens captured from the same application.
To restrict where the DAP Guidance appears, configure the Visible on setting in the visibility rules of the required widget. You can configure the following options:
App: The Guidance appears only on the base application and does not appear on Mirror. For example, use this option when you want to display mandatory compliance reminders to experienced users on the base application, without those reminders appearing during training on Mirror.
Mirror: The Guidance appears only on Mirror and does not appear on the base application. For example, use this option when you want to add detailed step-by-step guidance for new hires on Mirror, without that guidance appearing on the base application where experienced users work.
Info:
DAP Guidance and Mirror Workflows do not have stage dependencies. For example, if your widget is in the Ready stage and your Mirror Workflow is in the Draft stage, the DAP Guidance still appears on the Mirror. However, to make DAP Guidance visible to learners for a Workflow in the Production stage, you must publish all associated DAP Guidance to Production.
