The Whatfix Dashboard enables you to create and customize Whatfix content. Once content is created, the dashboard also helps you to organize and configure content to appear on your application.
The Whatfix Dashboard has two separate sections for your Whatfix Content and Widgets.
A Content is any instructional material like a Flow, video, text, image, PDF, or link that is created to guide users to perform a task efficiently.
A content cannot exist independently. It has to be a part of a widget before it can be accessed by the end users.
A Widget is a stand-alone UI element like a Beacon, Smart Tip, Pop-up, Self Help, Task List, or Launcher that provides additional context and enhances overall user experience.
While a collection of Beacons and Smart Tips exist in the Widgets tab under their respective segments, a single Beacon or Smart Tip exists in the Contents tab.
Whatfix contents/widgets are further divided into three different stages - Draft, Ready, and Production to enable content creators to create, review, and manage Whatfix content/widgets in a more efficient and organized manner. For more information, see Understand Whatfix dashboard stages.
