Note:
Auto Flow Creation is supported only for Cloud deployments on Whatfix Mirror.
Currently, Branching of Flows is not supported with Auto Flow Creation. Each Flow follows a single linear sequence matching the captured Mirror Workflow.
Whatfix enables you to automatically create a Flow for a Mirror Workflow with minimal effort using Auto Flow Creation. Each step in the Flow includes a tooltip you can use as a starting point for modifying content, reducing the manual effort of creating a step-by-step Flow. By default, Whatfix sets the source URL of the Flow to the Draft stage URL of the Mirror Workflow.
For example, you can capture an employee expense reimbursement process as a Mirror Workflow, and Whatfix automatically creates a corresponding Flow. If you add or remove Mirror Screens in the Workflow, Whatfix updates the Flow accordingly, and you can review and publish the updated Flow for your learners.
For more information, see Auto Flow Creation.
Use the following steps to auto create a Flow using Auto Flow Creation:
-
Launch Whatfix Studio on your application.

-
Click Mirror.

Click Start Mirroring.

Enter a name for your Workflow.

Info:
By default, when you create a Mirror Workflow, Whatfix selects the Create guidance flow for the Workflow checkbox, which automatically creates a matching Flow.

Note:
If you clear the Create guidance flow for the Workflow checkbox before you create a Mirror Workflow, Whatfix does not create a Flow.

Select the UI element to capture the Workflow step.

Go to the next UI element of the Workflow step you want to capture, and then repeat step 5 until all required Workflow steps are captured.
Note:
If you want to add additional screens, click Add more screens. For more information, see Add a Mirror Screen to a Mirror Workflow.

After you have captured the required Mirror Screens, click the Done icon.

Info:
After you capture a Mirror Workflow, Whatfix enables you to review the auto-created Flow. Click Show guidance flow to open the auto-created Flow on the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard in a new browser tab.

Whatfix automatically creates a Flow which appears in the Draft stage of the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard in the following format: Flow - <Workflow Name>.

Note:
Preview the Flow to ensure it appears correctly and as intended for your learners. For more information, see Preview a Flow on Mirror.
When you publish the Workflow, Whatfix also publishes the associated auto-created Flow. For more information, see Publish all Whatfix content and widgets to Production and Publish Whatfix Mirror.
