Whatfix enables you to create a Cohort directly from a Funnel step to identify and group end users who complete a step or process, or drop off from it. You can analyze Funnel data using Total Attempts or Unique Users, which impacts how users are grouped into the Cohort.
Use the Cohorts created from Funnels in the following ways:
Used as a filter in Trend Insights, Funnel Insights, and User Journeys.
Used as Visibility Rules to target Whatfix content. Show Whatfix content to users who drop-off from a process to improve process completion.
Use the following steps to add a Cohort from a Funnel step:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.

Create a new Funnel Insight or open an existing one. For more information, see Create a Funnel.
Scroll down to view the generated data chart. The chart reflects data based on the selected Funnel mode (Total Attempts or Unique Users).

Info:
Use the default or custom date filters to filter the data for a specified date range.

Click the Funnel Step or the drop-off to see the respective user behavior.

Note:
The Funnel displays following metrics for completion and drop-off based on the selected mode:
Unique Users
Users who completed the step: Number and percentage of unique users who have completed the step.
Users who dropped off: Number and percentage of unique users who did not complete the step.
Total attempts
Times completed: Total number of times the Funnel step was completed, along with the percentage from the first step.
Times dropped off: Total number of times users dropped off at the Funnel step, along with the percentage from the first step.
Click Create cohort.

Note:
You cannot create a Cohort from a Funnel step if the Funnel has a Cohort as a User filter. For more information, see Add Cohorts in Funnel Insights.

For a drop-off step, select the group of users for whom you want to create a Cohort and then click the Create cohort icon.

Add a title and description to your Cohort, and then click Create cohort.

Once the Cohort is created, click View cohort to view the conditions in the Cohort.

Note:
In the Cohort, do the following:
Update the Cohort duration rule, that is, the time window to analyze engagement.
Filter users based on attributes, such as location or device type. You cannot add other conditions to the Cohort created from a Funnel.
