Add Cohorts in Funnel Insights

Add Cohorts as User filters in Funnel Insights to drill down on the user behavior. This feature enables the inclusion or exclusion of specific user groups from data analysis.
Use cases
- Determine the number of new users in an application who complete a process.
- Identify the step at which managers of various teams drop off from a process.
- Assess the completion of a mandatory process in all teams except the Admin team.
Use the following steps to add a Cohort in Funnel Insight:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.
Click Create insights.
Click Funnel Insights.
Click the Give your insight a name textbox and enter a name for your Insight.
Click the Description text box and enter a description that explains the purpose of the Funnel Insight.
From the Select user type dropdown, choose whether to analyze data for All users, Identified users, or Anonymous users.
- By default, Insights data may contain identified (users identified by User ID) and unidentified (users not identified but denoted by Anonymized Whatfix IDs) users.
- The Event identification rate indicates the percentage of events Whatfix is able to attribute to uniquely identified users.

Click the Data source icon and select the stage from which you want to get the data. For more information, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages.
In the Add funnel steps section, click + Add to add your Flows, Custom events, or Page view,
In the User filter section, click Add user filter.
Click Cohort.
Whatfix enables you to add only up to two Cohorts as User filters.
- Select the desired Cohort to filter users, and then click Apply. In this example, New users is the Cohort.
- Whatfix enables you to add Cohorts created with User lists and Cohorts created from Funnel Insights as User filters.
- Use Does not equal to to exclude a Cohort of users from your analysis. For more information, see How can I exclude filter values in Product Analytics?
- Use the default and custom date filters to filter the data for a specific date range.
After the setup is complete, scroll down to view the generated data chart.
Click Save.
