Add Cohorts as User filters in Trend Insights to drill down on the user behavior. This feature enables the exclusion of specific user groups from data analysis.
Use cases
- Identify which Sales team members engaged with the new feature in the product.
- Determine how many new users on the application completed a Flow using any browser.
- Determine how many active users, excluding test users, engaged with a Pop-up.
Use the following steps to add a Cohort in Trend Insight:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.

Click + Create insights.

Click Trend Insights.

To name your Insight, click the Edit icon.

Click Add event.

In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select the desired Cohort.
Info
- Cohorts are available only in the User filter section.
- Cohorts created with User lists and Cohorts created from Funnel Insights can be added as User filters.
- Use Does not equal to to exclude a Cohort of users from your analysis. For more information, see How can I exclude filter values in Product Analytics?

In the User breakdown section, click Add user breakdown, and then select the breakdown you want to add.

After the setup is complete, scroll down to view the generated data.

Click Save.
