Artikel-Zusammenfassung

User Actions enable you to track end-user interactions on the application. After creating a User Action, you need to publish the User Actions. This ensures that the User Actions are live on the application and can start capturing engagement data.

Note:

Only an Account Manager can perform the following task. For more information about available roles, see Whatfix User Roles.

Use the following steps to publish User Actions:

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
    ia_left_nav_content

  2. Click All content.
    ia_dashboard_left_nav_all_content

  1. Go to the Ready stage.

  2. Click Publish all.

  3. On the Publish changes dialog box, expand the User actions section.

    Note:

By default, Whatfix selects the User actions section. Clear the checkbox if you don’t want to publish User Actions.

  4. Review the User Actions to be published.

Note:

  • Whatfix shows new User Actions that you create and existing User Actions that you edit under the User actions section.

  • Whatfix does not enable you to choose which User Actions you want to publish or not publish.

  • Event Attributes you create for a specific User Action are published when you publish the User Action.

Info:

Add a note to inform stakeholders about the changes you are about to publish. This is optional.

  1. Click Publish.

Note:

  • When the process is complete, you receive a notification email.

  • The publish action usually takes only a few minutes. However, depending on your delivery method, there might be a delay before Whatfix publishes the User Action.

  • The time it takes for content and widgets and User Actions to appear for your end users varies by delivery type:

       - Whatfix Store delivery: Updates usually reflect within a few minutes after content is pushed.

       - Extension-based delivery: Updates might take up to 30 minutes to appear. This time might vary depending on where the extension is hosted, such as the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Store, or another store.

  • Whatfix also enables you to publish User Actions using the Publish changes button. The Publish changes button is visible only if the Ready stage is empty.
