Pop-ups enable you to inform users about things that need their immediate attention.
The following events can be used to measure the engagement of Pop-ups in Trend Insights:
- Pop-up skipped
- URL Triggered via Pop-up
- Pop-up closed by "X" icon
- Pop-up closed by close button
- Flow launched from pop-up
- "Do not show me again" selected
- The Pop-up shown event is deprecated from the Whatfix Analytics dashboard. For more information, see What are the deprecated events in Product Analytics?
- These events appear in the dropdown only if users perform or engage with them. Ensure that you push the Pop-up to Production. When end users interact with the pop-up, view the engagement data using the mentioned events.

Analyze the number of users who skipped a Pop-up from a particular region.
Event name: Pop-up skipped
Event filter: Segment name = Name of the Pop-up
User breakdown: Region

Analyze the number of users who clicked the button in a Pop-up filtered by User ID. The Pop-up button contains a link that redirects users to a different page.
Event name: URL Triggered via Pop-up
Event filter: Segment Name = Name of the Pop-up
User breakdown: User Id

Analyze the number of users who launched a Flow from a Pop-up versus the number of users who completed the same Flow.

Use the following steps to view the analytics of Pop-ups using Trend Insights:

On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.

Click Create insights.

Click Trend Insights.

Click the Give your insight a name textbox and enter a name for your Insight.

Click the Description text box and enter a description that explains what the Trend Insight is about.

From the Select user type dropdown, choose whether to analyze data for All users, Identified users, or Anonymous users.

- By default, Insights data may contain identified (users identified by User ID) and unidentified (users not identified but denoted by Anonymized Whatfix IDs) users.
- The Event identification rate indicates the percentage of events Whatfix is able to attribute to uniquely identified users.

- Click the Data source icon and select the stage from which you want to get the data.

The stage cannot change after creating the Insight. Switching to a different stage resets the Insight, requiring a restart.

Click Choose metric.

Under Event metrics, select Total events or Unique users as required.

Click Add event.

Click Guidance events, select any of the Pop-up events, and then click Apply.

Add the required Filter or Breakdown.

- In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select the desired filter.

In the User breakdown section, click Add user breakdown, and then select the desired breakdown.

Scroll down to view the generated data chart.

Visualize the data using different chart types.

Filter data based on Daily, Weekly, or Monthly timeframes.

- Click Save.
