Article summary

User Action Verification enables contextual validation of User Actions within the application. The process identifies any issues with the User Actions and enables real-time fixes.

Info:

To verify User Actions, the Whatfix team needs to add the application domain where User Actions are created to the Preview mode. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.

Use the following steps to verify User Actions:

  1. Log in to your application, and then launch the Whatfix Studio.
    CLM_editor plug in2

  1. Scroll to the bottom, and then click User Action.
    studio_click_ua

  2. Click Show user actions on this page.

Info:
  • Whatfix refreshes the page and enables the Preview Mode.
  • Whatfix also automatically enables the Highlight user actions on the page toggle.

  3. View the following details under the Verify user actions section:

  • The name of the User Action
  • The date and time during which the User Action is triggered
  • The User Action Completion Rule

Note:
  • Interacting with a User Action in the Verification experience performs the same action on the live application. For example, if you are verifying a Save button that has been configured as a User Action, clicking Save during the Verification experience performs the actual save operation on the live application.
  • However, Whatfix does not capture engagement data from the interactions performed in the Verification experience.
  1. Once you've verified the User Action details, click Finish verifying.

Note:
  • If you want to create new User Actions after the verification, click + Create user action.

For more information on how to create User Actions, see Create a User Action.

  • When you click + Create user action, the verification experience ends. If you want to verify User Actions again, launch Whatfix Studio and then click User Action.

Whatfix enables you to view, preview, and edit User Actions using the Verification experience.
