Track Event Verification enables contextual validation of each Event attached to an element within the application. The process identifies any issues with the event and enables real-time fixes. For example, you track clicks on a Submit button. With event verification, you can check whether clicks on the button are being tracked. If they aren’t, reselect the button and save the event.

Whatfix must add the domain of your application to Preview Mode before you verify events. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.
Use the following steps to verify tracked events:
- Log in to your application, and then launch the Whatfix Studio.
In the Events section, click Track event.

Whatfix refreshes the page and enables the Preview Mode.
On the Tracking events panel, click Verify events.
On the application page, interact with the highlighted element according to its Completion Rule. For example, click or hover, or type text in the element.
The Verify user actions panel shows these details for each action captured:
The event name
The time when the event was verified
The event completion rule
The number of attributes captured

Click the Expand icon to view the attribute captured.
Click Finish verifying.
Note:
To correct an event’s name, rules, or properties, edit the event. For more information, see Edit a Tracked Event.
Publish verified events so they capture data. For more information, see Publish User Actions.
Whatfix highlights all the elements on the page in blue.

Interacting with the event in the verification experience performs the same action on the live application. For example, if you are verifying a Save button that has been configured as a User Action, clicking Save during the Verification experience performs the actual save operation on the live application.
However, Whatfix does not capture engagement data from the interactions performed in the Verification experience.
Note:
If you want to create the new event after the verification, click + Track new event. For more information on how to create an Event, see Create an Event.
When you click + Track new event, the verification experience ends. If you want to verify events again, launch Whatfix Studio, click Verify events and then click the required event.
