Articles enable users to find one-line answers within Self Help without leaving the application.
Use the following steps to create an article within a Self Help segment:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Widgets.
-
Click Self Help.
-
Go to the required Self Help segment and then click the Edit icon.
-
Click Create and select Article using the dropdown.
-
Add the Title and Description.
- Add search keywords to the Article to make it easy for your end user to search for it in Self Help.
- Add tags to your Article content.
If Smart Context is enabled, all content created on your application is auto-tagged. However, if static content (articles, videos, and links) is not created on your application using Studio, add the global-page tag to display such content in the Self Help widget on your application. To tag content, see Add Tags to content.
If the tag doesn't work on your account, contact support@whatfix.com.
- If you configure Page tags as Visibility Rules for a Self Help segment, all the static content associated with the Page tag appears in the Self Help widget when the tag is evaluated. In this case, there is no need to add global-page tag or Auto tags to the static content created using the dashboard.
- If you cannot add tags while creating content in an account with Smart Context enabled, first create a Flow and save it in your dashboard. Ensure that this Flow is not pushed to the Production stage. Creating a Flow generates Auto tags that can be added to the desired content. These Auto tags appear in the Tags section. Once the tags are generated, delete the flow.
- Click Save Article.
Use the following steps to add an existing article to a Self Help segment:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Widgets.
-
Click Self Help.
-
Go to the required Self Help segment and then click the Edit icon.
-
Click Add Content.
-
Filter the content using the Filter option. From the dropdown, click ARTICLE.
-
Select the desired article.
-
Click Okay.
-
Click Save.
After pushing the Self Help to Production, analyze the engagement of end users with the articles from different cities, countries, and more, using Product Analytics. For more information, see How can I see analytics of text content using Trend Insights?
