Text content, such as Articles, can be embedded within the Self Help and Task List widgets to help end users find content within the application. With Trend Insights, analyze the number of users who viewed or closed an article and filter the data based on city, country, browser, and more.
The following events can be used to analyze text content:
- Article viewed
- Article closed
These events appear in the dropdown only if users perform or engage with them. Ensure that you create the Article, add it to Self Help or Task List, and publish it to end users. Once the end users interact with the Article, view the engagement data with the specified events.
Analyze the number of unique users who viewed the article, Lead Management Overview, from Self Help based on country.
Event name: Article viewed
Event filter: Content Title = Lead Management Overview
Event filter: Event Trigger Location = widget
User breakdown: Country
Metric: Unique users
Analyze the number of new users who closed the Salesforce Service Cloud Overview article in the Onboarding Task List
Event name: Article closed
Event filter: Content Title = Salesforce Service Cloud Overview
Event filter: Segment Name = Onboarding
User filter: Cohort = New users
Use the following steps to view the analytics of text content using Trend Insights:
On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.
Click Create insights.
Click Trend Insights.
Click the Give your insight a name textbox and enter a name for your Insight.
Click the Description text box and enter a description that explains what the Trend Insight is about.
From the Select user type dropdown, choose whether to analyze data for All users, Identified users, or Anonymous users.
- By default, Insights data may contain identified (users identified by User ID) and unidentified (users not identified but denoted by Anonymized Whatfix IDs) users.
- The Event identification rate indicates the percentage of events Whatfix is able to attribute to uniquely identified users.
- For more information on filtering users and understanding the Event identification rate, see How can I filter unidentified users in Insights?
- Click the Data source icon and select the stage from which you want to get the data.
For more information on obtaining analytics data from different stages, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages.
The stage cannot change after creating the Insight. Switching to a different stage resets the Insight, requiring a restart.
Click Choose metric.
Under Event metrics, select Total events or Unique users as required.
Click Add event.
Click Guidance events, select any of the Article events, and then click Apply.
Add the required Filter or Breakdown for the event.
For more information on Event Filters and Breakdown, see Filter events using Event Filters and Breakdown in Trend insights.
- In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select the desired filter.
- To exclude specific filter values for which you don't require data, see How can I exclude filter values in Product Analytics?
- To exclude blank filter values from your data, see How can I exclude blank filter values in Insights?
In the User breakdown section, click Add user breakdown, and then select the desired breakdown.
Scroll down to view the generated data chart.
Visualize the data using different chart types.
Filter data based on Daily, Weekly, or Monthly timeframes.
- Click Save.
