Overview
In Product Analytics, set up a Dashboard as an App overview dashboard to visualize Insights for a specific account. This dashboard enables you to understand the drilled-down account-level analytics data when you access it from the Enterprise Insights dashboard.
Use case
Use the following steps to analyze Pop-up insights for all Pop-ups published from two specific Whatfix accounts:
- Use Whatfix's Product Analytics to create Trend Insights for the Pop-ups with the relevant events and filters.
- Add these insights to your Custom Dashboard in both accounts.
- Configure the Dashboards as App overview dashboards as demonstrated in the following article.
- If you have access to Enterprise Insights (EI), view the App Overview dashboards directly from Summary Insights to understand the account-level analytics and compare data between the accounts.
Set up the App overview dashboard (drill-down dashboard)
Note:
Only an ECC Admin can view the Set as app overview option.
Use the following steps to set up the App overview dashboard:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Dashboards.
On the Search bar, enter the Dashboard name you would like to add as an App overview.
On the selected Dashboard, click the More icon.
Click Set as app overview.

To remove the current Dashboard as the App overview dashboard: On the App overview dashboard, click the More icon, and then click Remove app overview for everyone.
To replace the current App overview dashboard with a new Dashboard:
On the Dashboard, click the More icon, and then click Replace app overview for everyone.
Access the App overview dashboard
After setting up the App Overview Dashboard in the Product Analytics dashboard, access the dashboard that displays account-level analytics from the Enterprise Insights dashboard.

Ensure that you have the Account Manager role in the respective accounts or enterprises (ENTs) containing the App overview dashboards.
Use the following steps to access the App overview dashboard from Enterprise Insights:
On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Insights.
Click Create insights.
Click Summary Insights.
Click the Edit icon to enter the title for the Summary Insight.
In the Groups section, select Application from the dropdown.
In the Metrics section, click Add metrics.
Click Guidance Metrics, and then select the URL Triggered via Pop-up event.

In the above example, dashboards are created in Product Analytics for Pop-up insights. The same metric or event can be used in Summary Insights to obtain overall Pop-up analytics data for both accounts.
Scroll down to view the generated data chart.
To view the App overview dashboard for a specific account, hover your cursor over the account name and click the Open in new tab icon.
