Whatfix enables you to delete the entire Content Repository or delete individual content in the Repository.
Delete the entire Content Repository
Use the following steps to delete a repository:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Repositories.
-
Under Integrated Repositories, go to the repository that you want to delete and then click the more icon.
-
Click Delete.
-
In the confirmation pop-up, click Delete.
The repository and its associated content are deleted instantly. However, for the changes to reflect on your users' application, you must do a Push to production.
Delete Content Repository links
When deleting individual links, it's necessary to first run a sync to ensure that the content is in sync with the source. If the article is removed in the source, when you run the sync, it will get removed in the Content Repository as well.
However, if you want to retain it in the source Knowledge Base, but don't want to show it as a link in Self Help, then follow these steps.
- Whatfix enables you to delete repository links from the Ready stage.
- If the article has not been deleted in the source Knowledge Base, every time you do a sync, it will show up again in the Content Repository.
Use the following steps to delete specific repository links:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Repositories.
-
Under Integrated Repositories, go to the repository that you want to delete links from and then click the more icon.
-
Click Sync now.
-
Once the repository is synced, go to the Ready stage.
-
Select the repository links that you want to delete using the checkboxes.
-
Click the Delete icon.
-
On the confirmation pop-up, click Delete.
-
Once the links are deleted, click Push all to production.
