Article Summary

All the content you or anyone from your organization has authored can be found on the Whatfix Guidance dashboard. However, when you have created many pieces of content, it may be difficult to find them easily on your dashboard. In such cases, you can use Advanced Search. Advanced Search helps you narrow down the results based on your search query and filters. You can filter content by author, tag, or content type.

Use the following steps to find specific content:

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click the Advanced Search field at the top of the page.
    clm_db_search_draft

  2. Enter the title of the content you're looking for.
    clm_db_enter_search

Note:
  • The Search field auto-suggests possible results even as a search term is entered.
    clm_db_search_suggest

  • The search result is also retained across all stages.

  1. To apply additional filters such as Content Type, Users, and Tags, click Filter.
    CLM_DB_Filter

  2. To find all the content relevant to your search criteria, click Apply Filters.

Note:
  • The search term is optional.

  • You can apply filters without a search term and get relevant results based only on the selected filters as shown in the following image. The search uses an OR criteria within a filter and an AND criteria between filters.
    ia_dashboard_filter_types

    ia_dashboard_filter_tags

  • This search lists all content that is a Video, Smart Tip OR Flow AND has the 'extension' OR 'LinkedIn' tags.

  • The filtered content is retained across all stages on the dashboard.

Info:
  • Quick search only looks at the title and auto-populates results.

  • Flows are always displayed before other content.

  • Tags that use the search keyword are displayed at the end of the search results along with the number of content units that are using that particular tag.

  • When a filter is applied, quick results for Tags or Users are not displayed.
