How can I see analytics of Survey using Trend Insights?

Surveys help you gain information and insights about your product and users. Use this information to understand your users and improve the overall experience.

Use the following events to measure the engagement of Surveys in Trend Insights:

  • Survey Abandoned
  • Survey Closed
  • Survey Maximize
  • Survey Minimize
  • Survey Refresh
  • Survey Shown
  • Survey Submit

These events appear in the dropdown only if users perform or engage with them. Ensure that you push the Survey to Production. When end users interact with the Survey, view engagement data for the mentioned events.

Use Cases

  • Analyze the number of users who closed the survey from any region.
    Event name: Survey Closed
    Event filter: Segment name = Name of the Survey
    User breakdown: Region

  • Analyze the number of users who submitted the Survey.
    Event name: Survey Submit
    Event filter: Segment Name = Name of the Survey

Use the following steps to view the analytics of Surveys using Trend Insights:

  1. On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.

  2. Click Create insights.

  3. Click Trend Insights.

  1. Click the Give your insight a name textbox and enter a name for your Insight.

  2. Click the Description text box and enter a description that explains what the Trend Insight is about.

  3. From the Select user type dropdown, choose whether to analyze data for All users, Identified users, or Anonymous users.

Note:
  • By default, Insights data may contain identified (users identified by User ID) and unidentified (users not identified but denoted by Anonymized Whatfix IDs) users.
  • The Event identification rate indicates the percentage of events Whatfix is able to attribute to uniquely identified users.

  1. Click the Data source icon and select the stage from which you want to get the data.

Note:
  • For more information on obtaining analytics data from different stages, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages.

  • The stage cannot change after creating the Insight. Switching to a different stage resets the Insight, requiring a restart.

  1. Click Choose metric.

  2. Under Event metrics, select Total events or Unique users as required.

  3. Click Add event.

  4. Click Guidance events, select any Survey event, and then click Apply.

  5. Add the required Filter or Breakdown for the event.

  1. In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select the desired filter.

  • Visualize the data using different chart types.

  • Filter data based on Daily, Weekly, or Monthly timeframes.
