When you try to start, update or re-install the Whatfix Player, the following error is displayed:

The following are the various reasons the aforementioned error is displayed:

A faulty installation of the Player took place.
An older version of the Player app is already installed on your device and you try to install a different version or manually update it.
The Player wasn't properly uninstalled and then re-installed.

If you already have the Whatfix Player installed on your device, update the Player directly from the Dashboard.
In case you still need to install the Player or if the issue persists, uninstall the version of Player already present on your computer and then re-install it. This ensures that there is no faulty installation or missing files in the Player's package. For more information, see How to uninstall the Whatfix Desktop Player?

Once the issue is resolved, any time you perform a push to production, any recent updates to the Player should get automatically pushed. For more information, see Auto-update of Whatfix Desktop Player.
Auto updates of the Player are not supported in System level installation.
