Whatfix Flows are sequential steps that help users learn an objective or complete a task through a series of step-by-step actions. Flows handhold users through various sequential tasks as a layer over their application.
Use the following steps to create a Flow:
-
Log in to the application where you want to create content, and then launch the Whatfix Studio.
-
Click Flow.
-
Enter the name of the Flow as you want it displayed to the users.
-
Click + Add Step.
-
Click the desired element on the page that the user needs to select.
-
Review or edit the auto-generated action text on the step.
Enter any additional information that you want to provide in the description section of the tooltip.
-
Under CONFIGURATIONS, choose the desired position of the tooltip.
-
Click Save Step.
-
Go to where you want to start the next step and then click + Add Step on Whatfix Studio.
-
Repeat steps 5 to 8 to add additional steps.
-
Click Save Flow.
-
Go to the Whatfix dashboard.
-
In the Draft stage, select the Flow, and then click Send to ready.
-
In the Ready stage, select the Flow, and then click Push to production.
To display the Flow in Self Help, you need to configure the segment for Visibility Rules. But when you are using the Preview mode, any content that you create is automatically added to a default segment that ensures that the content can be accessed from Self Help. This is only to get you started quickly. For more information, see Segmentation.
