Issue
You have set an occurrence limit for Whatfix Widgets (Popups, Beacons, etc.) but they keep showing up for users indefinitely.
Probable Cause
Sometimes, when a user logs out of an application, the local storage of that application is cleared automatically. This can cause Whatfix keys to also get deleted.
Whatfix keys are Whatfix specific global variables that assign unique attributes to all the elements (content, widgets etc.) that you create. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.
These Whatfix keys ensure that any content created is shown according to the set Visibility and Display Rule conditions, and much more. If they are cleared, every time a user logs into the application, the widgets are refreshed and shown again, even if the set occurrence is exceeded.
Suggested Solution
Whatfix keys can be preserved in the local storage to prevent this issue from happening. To know which keys to preserve, contact support@whatfix.com.
