Overview
Whatfix enables you to create a Launcher on a Mirror simulation to add a customizable button that triggers content such as a Flow, Pop-up, Video, or Link with a single click. The Launcher stays available on the Mirror Bildschirm for learners to access whenever they are ready.
For example, you can create a Launcher on a Mirror simulation to give learners on-demand access to a guided Flow that replays the Workflow they are practicing, so they can revisit the steps at their own pace.
For more information, see What are Launchers?
Use Cases
Use Launchers to implement the following use cases:
Provide always-available access to a Flow or video that reinforces the simulated Workflow.
Trigger a Pop-up that introduces a feature or a limited-time message relevant to the current screen.
Link learners to a reference article or knowledge base resource related to the task they are practicing.
Create a Launcher
Expand the following accordions for more details:
Step-1: Create a Launcher
Use the following steps to create a Launcher collection:
Log in to the application where you want to create content, and then launch Whatfix Studio.

Under CONTENT, click Launcher.

Enter a name for the Launcher Collection.

Info:
A Launcher collection is a group of Launchers and are usually on the same page.
The Launcher collection name is solely for your (creator's) reference and is not visible to your learners.
Visibility Rules are defined at the Launcher collection level. Consequently, a Launcher must belong to a collection in order to be displayed, even when only a single Launcher is present on a page.
Click Add Launcher to create a new Launcher.

Select an element on the application where the Launcher must appear.

In the Launcher Text box, enter the text for the Launcher.

Note:
Make the following changes to the Launcher Text:
a. Bold the text
b. Change the font size of the text
c. Make the text italic
d. Underline the text
The Launcher Text can have up to 50 characters.

In the Launcher Actions section, using the dropdown, select the content you want to trigger through a Launcher. For more information, see Launcher Actions and their Use Cases.

Note:
If no content appears in the dropdown menu when you attach it to a Launcher, the content has no Draft or Ready version. Whatfix does not display content that is in Production. Create a version of the content, then attach it to the Launcher. When you publish the Launcher, Whatfix also pushes the linked content to the Production stage.
For instance, to trigger a Flow from the Launcher, click Attach Flow and select the content.

Note:
The button changes as per the Launcher Actions you have selected.
Expand the Appearance dropdown and select the Launcher Type appearance using the dropdown menu.

Select Label Only
Select the Label Only option if you want your Launcher to appear as a button.

Use different button styles to suit the underlying application. Select between (Primary) button, (Secondary) button, and button styles based on your use case.
Configure the Color, Corner radius, Height, and Width for the Launcher.
Select Icon Only
Select the Icon Only option if you want your Launcher to appear as an icon.
Select an Icon for the Launcher, and then configure the Color and Size for the Launcher.

Note:
By default, Whatfix provides three types of icons for a Launcher.

Whatfix enables you to add your custom icons for your Launchers. For more information, see Use custom icons for Launcher.
Expand the Position dropdown, and then click the Lock icon to unlock and set the position of the Launcher.

Under Additional Options, enable the Anchor to Page or Anchor to Element toggle based on your requirement. For more information, see Anchor content to a Page and Anchor content to an Element.

In the Visibility Rules, enter the required visibility rules for the Launcher. Visibility Rules enable you to configure Launchers to display only when pre-determined conditions are met. For more information, see Understand New Visibility Rules for Content and Configure Where DAP Guidance Appears.

Click Save Launcher.

Info:
To add more Launchers, click Add Launcher, and then repeat steps 5 to 12.

Publish the Launcher on the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard and the Mirror simulation on the Whatfix Mirror Dashboard.
