This content is currently unavailable in German. You are viewing the default (English) version.

Whatfix enables you to create Trend Insights for analyzing learner engagement and measuring learning outcomes in training simulations. You can combine Mirror events, User filters, and User breakdowns to create custom reports that help you understand how your learners interact with training simulations.

For example, you can create a Trend Insight to analyze the number of learners who completed a training simulation in different countries or regions, and break down the data by User ID.

For more information, see Mirror Events in Trend Insights, Visualize an Assessment using Trend Insights and Visualize a Roleplay using Trend Insights.

Use the following steps to create a Trend Insight in Mirror:

  1. On the Whatfix Analytics Dashboard, click Insights.

  2. Click Create insights.

  3. Click Trend Insights.

  4. Click the Give your insight a name text box to enter a name for your Insight.

  5. Click the Description text box and enter a description that explains what the Trend Insight is about.

    Info:

    • The Description gives you context about the created Insight when added to a Dashboard. For more information, see Create Custom Dashboards in Analytics.

    • It also enables other stakeholders to understand what data the Insight depicts while viewing Dashboards created by other team members.

  6. From the Select user type dropdown, choose whether to analyze data for All users, Identified users, or Anonymous users.

    Info:

    • By default, Insights data might contain identified (users identified by User ID) and unidentified (users not identified but denoted by Anonymized Whatfix IDs) users.

    • The Event identification rate indicates the percentage of events Whatfix is able to attribute to uniquely identified users.

    • For more information on filtering users and understanding the Event identification rate, see How can I filter unidentified users in Insights?

  7. Click the Data source icon and select the stage from which you want to get the data.

    Note:

    • For more information on obtaining analytics data from different stages, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages.

    • The stage cannot be changed after creating the Insight. Switching to a different stage resets the Insight, requiring a restart.

  8. Click Choose metric.

  9. Under Event metrics, select Total events or Unique users as required.

  10. Click + Add event.

  11. Click Mirror events.

  12. Select the required Mirror event(s). For more information, see Mirror Events in Trend Insights.

  13. Click Apply.

  15. Select the required User filter. For more information, see Filter Insights data using User Filters and User Breakdown.

Info:

  1. Click Add user filter. For more information, see Filter Insights data using User Filters and User Breakdown.

  2. Click + Add user breakdown. For more information, see Filter Insights data using User Filters and User Breakdown.

  3. Once the setup is complete, scroll down to view the generated data chart.

Info:

Click Close to discard the Insight.

  1. Click Save.

Note:

  • Visualize the data using different metrics and chart types. For more information, see Understand the chart types in Trend Insights.
