Read this section to learn about Funnel Insights.
Introduction
A Funnel is a series of sequential events (Custom events or Page view) that enable you to track your end users’ progress through the Mirror. The Funnel also enables you to analyze how much time the user is spending on each Mirror screen.
Benefits of Funnel
The Funnel view provides valuable insights into a users’ behavior within the Mirror. Funnels enable you to:
Track unique users who engage with the Mirror.
Calculate the percentage of users who drop off at specific screens.
Measure the average time users take to transition between events.
Understand Funnel components
Funnels are built using the following modules:
Add funnel steps
User filter
Time taken to complete the funnel
Add funnel steps
Create a Funnel using Flows, Custom events and Page view.
Flows: A Flow created in the Mirror provides step-by-step guidance that enables your end user to complete a Mirror workflow.
Custom events: Each mirror screen is a specific custom event. Use these events together to build a funnel replicating the Mirror workflow to analyze user behavior.
Page view: Add the URL to the Mirror page to understand how many users are visiting the page. The URL can be the page URL of a specific Mirror screen or the URL that a user is redirected to when they interact with the Mirror.
User filter
Using the User Filter module, limit the scope of the Funnel events based on different criteria. It helps you gain granular insights by filtering data based on user attributes, such as browser, city, and country. For a particular Funnel event, refine the results to show data only for those who interacted with the Funnel event from the Chrome browser or from a specific location.
Time taken to complete the funnel
With Select Completion Time, create a Productivity Funnel and filter your users based on the time they take to complete the Funnel steps. It considers the fastest time taken between each Funnel step per user, averaged across all users. This can help you understand:
Number of users completing a process within the expected time or the shortest time possible.
The point of friction in the process is preventing users from completing the process within the expected time.
Users can be filtered based on the number of days, hours, or minutes they take to complete the Funnel. For example, filter users who complete a process in less than an hour.
Use cases
Use the funnel data within the Mirror to:
Identify friction in the process
Suppose in a Mirror there are three screens, screen 1 involves account creation, screen 2 is profile setup, and screen 3 is completing an introductory tutorial. Use the Funnel to track the time between the initial occurrences of each screen and analyze if users experience any bottlenecks or drop-offs at specific Mirror screens.
Improve process completion rate
Suppose a Mirror has mandatory text fields on some of the screens that need to be filled. Tracking the time taken for the user to complete the process using funnels enables you to find the friction points and reduce the time taken by your end users.
