Add a PDF to Task List

Whatfix enables you to add PDF files to Task Lists as Link content. Adding PDFs to Task List is a three-step process.
Step 1: Hosting the PDF in a cloud storage platform like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
Step 2: Creating Links in Whatfix.
Step 3: Adding Links to the Task List widget.
Step 1: Hosting the PDF in a cloud storage platform
Make sure that the sharing settings of the PDF files stored in the cloud storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) are not set to private and is accessible to intended users.
Once stored, copy the shareable link for the PDF and keep it ready.
Step 2: Creating Links in Whatfix
To create a Link content for the PDF,
- On the the Whatfix Dashboard, click Content.
- Click the Create button, and then click Link.
- Enter the purpose of the link in the Display Text field.
- Enter the shareable link of the PDF in the Link field.
- Click Save.
Step 3: Adding Links to the Task List widget
- Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.
- Click Widgets.
- Click the segment you want to add the PDF to.
- Alternatively, click the Create button, and then click Task List.
- Click Select.
- Click All and set the filter to PDF.
- Hover the cursor over the link you want to add and select using the checkbox.
- Click Okay.
- Click Save to add the PDF to the Task List widget.
