How can I see analytics of video content using Trend Insights?

The following event can be used to analyze video content:

Info:

The event appears in the dropdown only if users perform or engage with it. Ensure that you create the video, add it to Self Help or Task List, and publish it to end users. Once the end users interact with the video, view the engagement data with the specified events.

Use Cases

  • Analyze the most clicked videos in the Self Help called Video tutorials.
    Event name: Video link clicked
    Event filter: Segment name = Video tutorials
    Event breakdown: Content Title

  • Analyze by User ID, the number of users who clicked the Sign up video in the Onboarding Task List.

    Event filter: Content Title = Sign up
    Event filter: Segment Name = Onboarding
    User breakdown: User Id

Use the following steps to view the analytics of video content using Trend Insights:

  1. On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.

  2. Click Create insights.

  3. Click Trend Insights.

  1. Click the Give your insight a name textbox and enter a name for your Insight.

  2. Click the Description text box and enter a description that explains what the Trend Insight is about.

  3. From the Select user type dropdown, choose whether to analyze data for All users, Identified users, or Anonymous users.

Note:
  • By default, Insights data may contain identified (users identified by User ID) and unidentified (users not identified but denoted by Anonymized Whatfix IDs) users.
  • The Event identification rate indicates the percentage of events Whatfix is able to attribute to uniquely identified users.

  1. Click the Data source icon and select the stage from which you want to get the data.

Note:
  • For more information on obtaining analytics data from different stages, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages.

  • The stage cannot change after creating the Insight. Switching to a different stage resets the Insight, requiring a restart.

  1. Click Choose metric.

  2. Under Event metrics, select Total events or Unique users as required.

  3. Click Add event.

  4. Click Guidance events, select Video link clicked, and then click Apply.

  5. Add the required Filter and Breakdown for the event.

  1. In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select the desired filter.

  • Visualize the data using different chart types.
