Adding Cohorts as Visibility Rules is a Beta feature. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.
Cohorts enable grouping users based on their behavior within the application. Analyze this data to target relevant Whatfix content to specific Cohorts, guiding them along the right path. Include a Cohort as a Visibility Rule to determine whether to display a Whatfix widget.
Use Cases
- Assist a group of end users who spend more than 2 hours in the application and log in for 5 consecutive days by displaying a Popup of Keyboard Shortcuts. Group them as power users.
- Display a Pop-up about Review Cycle to all users except new users by setting the condition to show the widget to users who do not belong to the New User Cohort.
Add Cohort as a Visibility Rule
Use the following steps to add a Cohort as a Visibility Rule:
-
Before you add a Cohort in Visibility Rules, ensure that you have created the Cohort with the relevant conditions. For more information on creating a Cohort, see Create a Cohort.
-
Create a Cohort of users completing or dropping off from a Funnel and target content to these Cohorts as well. For more information, see Create Cohorts from Funnel Insights.
-
In the Set Visibility Rules section of the widget, select the Users option.
-
Select the condition using the information in the table below.
Condition Description Belong to Users who are part of the Cohort Do not belong to Users who are not part of the Cohort -
Select the required Cohort.
-
Configure additional Visibility Rules, if necessary, and finish creating the widget. For more information, see Visibility and Display Rule Conditions.
If you’ve added a Cohort as a Visibility Rule, the Cohorts get refreshed from the time you add it as a Visibility Rule. For example, if you add a Cohort as a Visibility Rule at 10:00 AM today, the scheduler runs every 8 hours from the time you added it as a Visibility Rule, that is, from 10:00 AM.
