As the Whatfix subscription nears its end, take a few key steps to ensure a smooth transition. This section outlines access, content retention, and renewal information.
How To Manage Subscription Renewals
To renew your subscription, contact your Whatfix Representative. The next steps, including contract discussions and access changes, will be discussed with you.
What Happens to Whatfix Dashboard and Studio Access?
Once the contract reaches its final date, your access to the Whatfix dashboard and studio stops.
What Happens to the Content?
Content within the dashboard remains available for up to one year after your subscription ends. If you decide to return within this period, you can resume access and content creation under a renewed contract.
Do End-Users Lose Access to Whatfix Content After the Subscription Ends?
Yes, once Whatfix revokes access, end-users can no longer view Whatfix content on the application.
If Using a Self-Hosted Extension Model, Will Access to Whatfix Content Remain?
Yes, Whatfix content published on the application appears as long as the latest updated extension is active in the browser. However, access to create or publish new content from the Whatfix dashboard stops once the subscription ends.
If Using an On-Premises Setup, What Is the Impact?
Since Whatfix content needs downloading from the Whatfix dashboard and uploading to the on-prem servers each time there is a push to production, the latest updated content appears on the application pages. However, access to create or publish new content from the Whatfix dashboard stops once the subscription ends.
After the subscription ends, do I get a grace period?
No, Whatfix revokes access after the contract date.
For any other concerns regarding renewal, access, or content, reach out to your Whatfix Representative or contact support@whatfix.com.
