Whatfix enables you to host your content either on the Whatfix cloud, third party server or on your own servers. Depending on what kind of deployment you choose, here are some differences to keep in mind:

| Search | An extensive search algorithm is used to search for and rank content based on how relevant it is. For repository links, videos, and articles, Whatfix also searches the text content inside them to retrieve relevant search results. For more information, see Understand how search works in Self Help. | Only a basic search is implemented, and algorithmic processes like EXACT match, stemming, and stop word optimization are not performed. For text content, search only considers the title and description. For repository links and video content, search is performed only based on the title of the content. |
