Whatfix Mobile enables you to save your project designs as a template that can be reused whenever needed as a Walkthrough step or a standalone project. It reduces duplication in creating in-app elements, improves content creation efficiency, and fosters a library of reusable templates accessible to all users in your account.
Save and re-use your template using the following steps:
Step 1: Save your design as a template
Use the following steps to save your design as a template:
Design your project as needed. For example, if you're creating a Tooltip, see Create Tooltip.
On the bottom left side of your screen, click Save Template.
In the confirmation pop-up, click Confirm.
Your template is now saved to Whatfix Mobile Template library.
Step 2: Re-use your saved template in a project
Use the following steps to re-use your saved template in a project:
Identify the screen where you want to show your project. It can be a Walkthrough step or a standalone project.
Click Design.
Select the element for which you have created the template.
- A Gesture or a Beacon cannot be saved as a template.
- Retrieve and use these templates only when you're creating the same project as the template. For example, your Pop-up templates are available only when you're creating another Pop-up either as a Walkthrough step or a standalone project.
Click the Saved toggle to find your saved template for the element.
Click the required template.
Finish designing your project.
