Once you capture the User Attributes, such as role, department, or email ID, Whatfix enables you to filter your users based on these parameters to understand their behavior.
Consider that you observe many users dropping off at a particular step in your Funnel and you want to filter the data based on the users' Role. Capture User Attributes, such as Role or Department, and filter users using these attributes. This helps you understand which users face friction in the application and target Whatfix content to the particular group.
As per the above-mentioned example, this is how the Funnel is visualized:
Event: Custom events for the process
User filter: Role - Sales Manager, VP
Chart:
Use the following steps to filter your users based on User Attributes in Funnel Insights:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.

Click + Create Insights.

Click Funnel Insights.

Click the Edit icon to name your Funnel.

Under Add funnel steps, click Add to add your Flow, Custom events, or Page View.

In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select the User Attribute. In this example, Role is the captured User Attribute.

Select the values captured for the User Attribute to filter your users, and then click Apply.

Scroll down to see the Funnel.

Click Save.
